There are days when we just want to lay around the house and play Bruno Mars “Lazy Song”. And when it comes to food, we all know a single dish takes hours to make, adding all the effort and attention, it become way too time consuming. Now that we are all in quarantine, ordering food from outside is a major risk as well.

As a matter of fact, this year has left us changing all our daily routine, in better or worse ways. With such major shift in our lifestyle, eating and cooking has become more diverse. A yummy dine-in meal at home, three time a day, seems way too monotonous. People are looking for dishes that takes less time and effort and keep our palate healthy and vibrant.

In this blog, we have summed up a few recipes that are easy to make, have incredible taste and colors, and takes less than 15 minutes to cook. Let’s not waste your much time and dig in.

Lazy Spaghetti

Ever heard of lazy spaghetti? Although the name sounds funny let me assure you not only this dish burst with rich, hearty, saucy flavors but it so effortless make, you’d almost crave it every other night.

THINGS YOU’LL NEED

  1. 3tbsp oil (you can take any kind of oil as per your choice)
  2. 1 medium-sized onion
  3. 1 medium-sized tomato
  4. 1/2 cup parsley
  5. 1tsp grated garlic
  6. 1tsp ginger
  7. 1tbsp pasta sauce
  8. 1tbsp tomato ketchup
  9. 2tsp all-purpose flour + 100ml milk
  10. 12 ounces of spaghetti
  11. 4 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese (1cup)

Note: This recipe can serve up to 4 people

Method:
You’d start by heating the oil in a regular size pan and then add in the onion, saute it for a minute or so, then add tomatoes, garlic, and ginger. Stir fry them for about 2 minutes.
Then add ketchup and any regular pasta sauce to the vegetables. Cook all these ingredients for a good 3 minutes. Now, add flour and milk, mix and simmer for around a minute, after a thick sauce is formed, you are good to go.
Finally, add 1 and 1/2 cup of water to the mixture and add your uncooked spaghetti to this. Cover the pot with the lid and leave it to cook for around good 10 minutes. The water will start boiling after around 10 minutes, at this time, you’d want to turn off the heat.

Now start adding a few magical ingredients that will enhance the taste of your regular spaghetti, a cup of shredded mozzarella, and a pinch of oregano herbs would do this job. “It would be as perfect as Chemical X ingredient in Power Puff Girls”.

And, voila your lazy pasta is good to go. Just don’t forget to garnish your dish with that parsley.

This entire blog is going to be about lazy recipes, so here we will be using your favorite coffee mug to satisfy your hunger for pizza. Now we all have some leftover chicken in our fridge all the time which end up in our trash bins.

At this time, where people are struggling to eat one time a day, we have to be extra careful with our wastage. In this dish, almost all your leftovers can be utilized. This mug lazy pizza will save your hunger, satisfy your palate and recycle your leftover. Also, the dish only takes around 12 to 15 minutes to make, so let’s not waste more time and get into it’s ingredients shall we?

Things you’ll need:

  1. 4 Tbsp All-purpose Flour
  2. 1/8 Tsp Baking Powder
  3. 1/16 Tsp Baking Soda
  4. Pinch Salt
  5. 3 Tbsp Milk
  6. 1 Tbsp Oil
  7. 1 Tbsp Pizza Sauce
  8. 2 Tbsp Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  9. Leftover chicken pieces
  10. Pinch Red Chili Pepper (Topping)
  11. Little Black Olive (Topping)
  12. 1/4 Tsp Dried Oregano

Method:
Grab your favorite coffee mug. Add-in Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Salt. Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add Milk and Oil, mix it well and make sure not to leave any lumps.

Spread the Pizza Sauce evenly over the mixture. Then add leftover chicken pieces (it would be better to shred it). You can even add a tbsp ketchup if you like it’s totally optional.

Spread your preferred cheese over the mix and top it with some chili flakes, oregano, and olives.

Put it in the microwave for over a minute or more until the toppings are of light brown shade. Time may vary, depending the brand of your microwave, settings and size of the cup, just heat it accordingly. And, there you have it. Your rich, saucy, meaty pizza cup.
